11/15/08 Anniversary of our First Date!

I can't believe how time has flown by. I don't know how to describe it really. Kenny and I went on our first date, November 15, 1997! Oh my god...that date makes me laugh...it seems crazy! 11 years...and counting.

We went to see "The Devil's Advocate" with Keanu Reeves. I should have known then, that he was a movie buff...it continues till this day and will always. Which I love.

We then proceded to go to the G-MAN. It's a bar...The Gingerbread Man. For those of you who are Non-Penn Staters. We stood on line in freezing cold weather... and ended up closing the bar down at 2 a.m. Surprise?? Not so much. Still do it on occasion! We just don't recoup as fast these days!

I always daydreamed about the day I would look back on the times we shared...even if it was just a date to the movies. It brings me back to where we began...and how far we've come in our relationship. We didn't know what was in store for us...we just made a decision to experience life together and I wouldn't change it for anything. We are not perfect...we have our moments, arguments, name-calling incidents like every couple. But, we do not go to bed angry.

We may not have achieved or experienced everything that we wanted to at this point in our lives, but I do believe that we are more in love today, than we were on our wedding day. I thank God for that.

October 2008

Well, October went really fast, I feel like I didn't even enjoy Fall this year! Here's a shot of our Pumpkins this year. We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Macungie...it's so cute. We always go at the end of the month, and there's never a huge selection...but we did manage to find 2 keepers!

The big one looks like a Gourd!

Kenny is back in PA!

Kenny is finally back home in PA. He really enjoyed San Antonio, but was ready to come home. Living out of a hotel and eating out at restaurants for 3 weeks was a little much after the 2nd week started. The weather was great and he got to do a lot of sight-seeing at the Riverwalk and Alamo...jealous, yes I am.

He said he really wants to go back...so I will be making a trip back with him sometime in the near future! The cost of living is really low...For what we spent on our home, we could have gotten in San Antonio for $30,000 grand less. Crazy.

Ya never know...you may have to visit us in San Antonio next year...lol. We'll see if that comes to fruition. I'm not holding my breath.

Kenny got a good shot of the Crocket Hotel during his stay. No, he didn't stay there.

My poor Emma.

Well, it was bound to happen at some point. My neice Emma broke her hand on Thursday. I think she had been running (with a pencil in her hand) and fell. I guess it was bound to happen at some point, she's 7 going on...15 I think. She's such a sweet, sensitive, courteous, beautiful little girl. I miss Emma and her brothers, Caleb and Ethan dearly. They are the loves of my life, besides my husband of course and our future children.

It was her right hand as well, but my sister said they tried to cast her hand so she could attempt to hold a pencil...we'll see how that works out. It should be a fast recovery which is good.

My Emma...I love you and miss you tons.

Kenny is San Antonio bound!

Well, as I write this, Kenny is in Flight on his way to San Antonio, Texas until October 24th! It felt like he was leaving me forever! It was a weird feeling. We have been apart from eachother for a week or so, but never this long. I'm sure it will go fast, but It's such a pretty time of year, I would love to spend it with him.

I would also love to experience the Riverwalk in San Antonio, I've heard it's a great place with a lot of different things to do and some fabulous food! I'm soo jealous right now. Kenny will be working for the most part, but I was trying to plan a 3 day weekend to come visit and do the Riverwalk like I said. The flights are rather expensive right now. $600 from the Lehigh Valley Airport! I would so love to go...but I should be really saving that money. I never put my foot down and save like I always say I'm going to. I would really like to achieve a goal I set out for myself, but do I want to deprive myself of a really fun experience with the hubby??? Don't know what to do and I only have a week to figure this one out.

We'll see.
P.S. The picture is about 1yr old. Oldie but goodie.

Celtic Classic 2008

Every year Kenny and I attend the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem, PA. We love it. It's great food, great music and of course, Great Beer, Wine and any other beverage to your liking! We've been going for 7 years now and it's a tradition for us. There has only been one year where we had my sister, cousin and Ken's friend come along. All other years, it's been Ken and I. I love that we are making long lasting traditions that we hope to enjoy with our family, whenever children come into the picture.

We see some of the same people every year and know exactly what booths to go to when looking for our favorite vendors! Ken's goal this year was to get his "AU SHUCKS" corn on the cob, with spices and parmesean cheese, it's the bomb! As well as an O'haras pint. Not as good as Guinness, but close to it!

I just love walking around, shopping, listening to the great celtic bands which are so entertaining, and the whole vibe is just a good time! We look forward to it every year and never plan anything for the last weekend in September!!
P.S. The bagpiper picture is from a few years ago, I couldn't get a good one this year, we didn't have the greatest weather.

Flats or heels??

So, I have a new addiction. Ballet Flats and Flats in general. They are really coming back in style these days. They are so much more comfortable than wearing heels for 8hrs and I think their funky! So they may not be the sexiest shoe, but who wants to look sexy at 8-5 job? They are so much better for our feet too!

Not saying that I'm totally giving up on heels...I wear them...I do. But, I never seem to find the right size. They are either to tight up front, and too big in the back. Always something! I love the peep toe heel!

I'll post a picture of a new purchase soon...Red Funky Flats! Love them!
